Manufacturer demand for finishing solutions is growing in the Midwest. To meet that demand, OTC Industrial Technologies opened a new, larger, and more advanced facility in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
“We have great customers in Iowa and Illinois, and they have for years asked us to have local supply and capabilities,” explains Bob Wilson, OTC’s Finishing, Dispensing, and Filtration (FDF) Group President. “This state-of-the-art site will enable our growing team to partner with our vendor partners to better serve these important customers.”
A Larger Facility to Meet Growing Demand for Turnkey Solutions
OTC is already one of the largest industrial equipment distributors in the nation. The new facility will expand the capabilities of Midway Industrial Supply, a part of the OTC family of companies. It will serve as a new finishing, dispensing, and filtration stocking facility and repair center.
The new location has more space to store finishing and filter inventory. This allows OTC to better respond to customer needs with critical items on hand and ready to ship. In addition, Iowa’s first-ever authorized Gema A+ certified repair and warranty service center was added. It’s staffed with full-time, expert finishing technicians.
"We will have over 27,000 square feet to provide the industry’s leading filter inventory for both finishing and HVAC, along with a focus on service on repair,” according to Scott Stalzer, Midway’s Sales Manager. “We will have a team of factory-trained technicians that will give us the ability to service the finishing and dispense market. Our authorized Gema A+ warranty repair center is the only one in the state of Iowa! All of this together gives us the opportunity to overserve our customers in Iowa and Western Illinois.”
